Manufactured by Meccano Ltd. of Liverpool circa 1960 in the final era of the Hornby Trains 0 gauge range.
Lithographed tinplate finish in British Railways green livery.
Plastic wheels making it suitable for 2-rail running if required.
This is from a cash of unsold old shop stock, never used, effectively mint but for a small area of discolouration due to long term contact with the box staples.
Crisp clean box with rusty staples.
