I used this system for a few months in my bedroom and I found it to be just what I need for that time.  I decided to take the time to run wires all over the place and go with a Pioneer 7.2 speaker set up because it was what I had been most used to over the years. The Yamaha YSP 3000 is a high end unit that retailed for $1000. It actually produces a better-quality sound overall than the system I put in in it's place but my front speakers now are 4 feet tall with built in powered subs in both speakers, so I get to rattle the windows a bit. Flat screen TV's alone today just do not offer that great of a sound to watch movies and to listen to music and the most convenient way to improve the sound of TV shows and music is a sound bar. The Ultimate improvement is the sound projector as it is far superior to regular sound bars! The YSP-3000's 21 1.5-inch micro-drivers create surround sound by bouncing the front-left, front-right, and surround channels' sound off your room's walls; the center channel's sound is projected directly from the YSP-3000 to the listening position.
