Its tight weave resists wind, snow and light rain while allowing moist vapors from strenuous activity to escape. The front features external hand pockets made from Cover Cloth waxed cotton. The reversed, welted entry ensures contents stay put even in awkward positions. Below the hand pockets are expandable cargo pockets with snaps hidden beneath the flaps. This pocket arrangement adds windproof and water-resistant reinforcement to mid-thigh. On the back, an additional layer of the same oil finish Cover Cloth extends from the pockets to knees for added water protection. Seven beltloops prevent waistband sagging. Zippered fly and metal-shank button waist closure.
