This is such a weird adapter.  My guess is that there were systems of the era that could actually put out separate and independent signals on the analog and digital pins of a DVI, so you could drive two monitors from one port.  Kind of a good idea, except that analog VGA really deserved to be superseded by DVI as quickly as possible.

Cable is in good condition.  Untested, because I don't have any appropriate hardware, but probably works -- there's just not much to go wrong.  Pins look fine.
