This small dresser tray features a reverse painted scene of a courting couple against an ornate gate. The back is lined in milkweed fluff. This is very unusual and I've never come across one of these before! The celluloid has cracking and areas of darkening which is the usual for pieces of this age. There is some warping and separation in spots from the top layer of the outer frame. There is fading to the reverse painting. There are no chips to the celluloid. All in all for the age of the piece and the delicate nature of old celluloid it is in amazing condition!
