The obverse has the Crescent, Star, and the year along with the lettering: "TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ" which translates to "Republic of Turkey." The reverse has "5 Kurus" inside a wreath. The edges have the lettering: "TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ" as well.
