These vintage Sarah Coventry earrings are quite stunning, but need a home where someone either has the skills to replace the missing stones, does not care about the missing stones or, has the imagination to repurpose them in some clever & creative way. I'd be that last person if we didn't already have too much stuff!
These earrings are absolutely costume jewelry, but they are still quite sturdy -- not like cheap mall earrings. This sturdy construction is probably due in part to their age. The metal is antiqued & has lots of relief & texture. The clips are unusual in that the front terminates with a blunt end of metal. On the lobe, this makes them appear to be pierced earrings. They could easily be converted to hook earrings by removing the clips -- the attachment isn't soldered. I personally like how they simulate a chandelier earring, but are a solid piece. The design reminds me a bit of a Hamsa or Hand of Fatima. They would be fabulous with green or red Swarovski crystals in place of the green stones.
The earrings hang 2 inches from the point they terminate on the lobe to the bottom of the dangle. The dangles themselves are almost 1.5 inches long and just over 0.5 inches wide.
