For sale are "200 beads Wolffia sp. smallest flowering plant on earth, Floating, sustainable production"
***The body is only 1mm in diameter(the third picture), round to ovoid, floating on the surface or sinking at the bottom of the water with no roots.
***Their size compared to duckweed is shown in the first picture.
***Individual plantlets are hardly visible, but they can form a solid cover on the surface of the water(the second picture) and feel like sand.
***They are also known as watermeal, dwarf duckweed or rootless duckweed, with 10 species, looks like Wolffia columbiana and need to be identified by botanist. Too many customers asked me if they are Wolffia globosa, unfortunately they are not under my personal research.
***They can adapt to low light intensity such as LED tube for slow growing or strong sunlight for fastest growing rate.
***They are suitable as a food for many plant-eating fish and can also be prepared as dried food but NOT RECOMMENDED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION
***They are fast growing and can survive in extreme temperatures as low as 32F or as high as 100F.
***The quantity you will get is about 200 beads in a small container(the last picture), other available container or pack in air tight plastic bag not shown in the picture.
***Today, Dec 27, I found someone copied my information and sell in a much higher price.
***Please open the shipping container on a flat surface to avoid spilling. If you received them in a petri dish, please open it on the "top" side. Open it in the reverse direction will not be easy.
***Thanks for looking.
