Wonderful vista of Mount Diablo, California, by excellent, listed California artist JSE Archuleta.

This is my favorite of the many Archuleta paintings I have seen in his online gallery. Though it is not large, one can seemingly look right into it and perceive the distance across the miles of rolling hills to the famous mountain. In the foreground are golden summer grasses and California poppies, then further, valley and live oaks, and groves in the middle distance, and then the rising shoulders of the mountain, and finally the mighty, forbidding Diablo itself, with its forests and meadows and rocky outcrops, dominating the scene, beckoning to us, daring us to climb.

The painting itself measures 8X10” and the frame about 12X14”.

Has picture hanging wire attached. Ready to display.
