These bulbs are custom made with a front projection lens, the beam angle is 360 degrees, they have a steel base and an alloy body. They are the brightest bulbs in their class; 7-10x brighter than a standard bulb! However, it is the front projections that makes it so effective. It's just a better engineered than other bulbs. If your machine is an older Polaris you will have AC-volts at the headlight socket and these bulb will flicker and burn out instantly.There's a simple fix. If you're on AC (your headlights will only turn on with the engine running) you have to cut the power wire to the headlights (AC) and splice it into the power wire that feeds the taillight (DC). Simple solution to get DC and use these bulbs.
