This is a beautiful watercolor on paper painted in 1942 by Hungarian-born artist, Sandor Bernath. It was given to my parents as a wedding gift from a family friend who worked in New York City and was a patron of the artist. I included a photo of the original note that has been attached to the back of the painting since the day it was unwrapped on their wedding day. The scene is a rooftop view of Gloucester Mass. It is in excellent condition in the original frame and protective paper backing. My parents were married in 1942 and enjoyed 76 years of marriage until my father passed away five years ago. This picture hung in their bedroom as long as I can remember. I am hoping to pass it along to another family that will enjoy it as much as they did. The frame is 23.5" x 23.5" and the picture itself is 15" x 12"
