This is for an original 1954 program to the auto races at Roosevelt Stadium Speedway in Jersey City New Jersey along with four tickets to the event. The schedule shows the top 3 for every race up until July 24 so there is a possibility that this program would be for July 31 unless there was a rainout or the program was sold more than one week before the next race. There is a page on the web that shows the winners from this track for every race in 1951, 1952, 1953 and 1955 but there is nothing to show the winners of 1954. Cover shows a nice photo of George Tet, the points leader up to this point along with a nice bio of him inside the front and back covers. The roster of drivers shows Frankie Schneider, but he was probably racing elsewhere in the Tristate area and would only show up for the races that had big paydays, as his 50 lap feature win shows on July 10. The program is in incredible condition and even comes with a string of four uncut rain checks for auto racing at Roosevelt Stadium which are probably as rare, or even more rare than the program itself. Tough to improve on this one for rarity and condition.
