Vintage 1940's Korean earthenware pot with the distinctive side-handled spout design, sometimes referred to as a "yokode" style. It was designed for brewing medicinal herbs and is characterized by its dark brown glaze and rounded body in addition to the 1 piece handle. They chose the glazed earthenware for its excellent heat retention.
It is in great shape, the best I've seen online, including the Asian sites. I got it from a woman who lived in South Korea while her husband was a diplomat there. She became an avid collector of all things Korean.

Pot is 10.5" in length with handle, 7.5" diameter and 6.5" high
Weighs 5 lbs 2 ozs
