Yamaha's first pre-main amplifier with USB DAC functionality, the A-S801. The most important thing about the A-S801 is the thrilling session between the state-of-the-art USB DAC, which incorporates ESS Technology's SABRE32 high-performance D/A converter, and traditional analog audio technology symbolized by the linear damping circuit and the "ToP-ART" concept. High-grade USB DAC functionality that employs the "SABRE 32" (ES9010K2M) 32-bit, 2-channel high-performance D/A converter manufactured by ESS Technology, Inc. of the U.S., Yamaha's original USB device controller, and the latest audio interface standard "ASIO2.3"-compliant Yamaha Steinberg The high-grade USB DAC functionality, which employs Yamaha's original USB device controller and Yamaha Steinberg drivers compliant with the latest ASIO 2.3 audio interface standard, supports DSD 5.6MHz (DSD128) native playback and 384kHz/32bit* playback, enabling high-resolution sound source playback at its original quality. A 6-point LED digital signal indicator on the front panel indicates the digital signal format and sampling frequency being played.

"ToP-ART" (Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology) is a circuit layout that focuses on symmetrical (left-right symmetrical construction) and direct (straightening and shortening the signal path). Powerful power amplifier based on the "ToP-ART" concept

The power amplifier block is designed with a symmetrical and direct circuit layout based on the "ToP-ART" concept, and a highly rigid and vibration-damping design that combines a unique art base and steel frame. CD direct amplifier & pure direct switch for sound purity

The "Pure Direct Switch" improves sound quality at all inputs by bypassing the tone/loudness/balance controls and the rear stage buffer amplifier. In addition, Yamaha's unique "CD Direct Amplifier," which directly connects the CD input terminal to the volume (volume control) via a differential amplification buffer amplifier, cancels distortion and noise generated in the signal path to improve sound quality. Both of these features enhance the purity of the sound and allow you to enjoy the subtle nuances of music.

Optical/Coaxial Digital Input with 192kHz/24bit Support

The unit is equipped with optical and coaxial digital audio inputs that support up to 192 kHz/24-bit, making it easy to enhance the sound quality of various sources by connecting the digital audio outputs of CD/DVD players and other audio equipment, as well as TVs, video game consoles, PCs, and other devices used alongside the audio system. You can easily enhance the sound quality of a variety of sources.
