The agar medium is a general-purpose growth substrate designed to support the cultivation of a wide range of mushrooms (fungi). Pre-poured agar plates are suitable for use in educational settings, such as classroom experiments or science fair projects.

The agar medium is prepared using water purified with a Millipore Milli-Q laboratory water system. It is sterilised by autoclaving and subsequently poured within a sterile laminar flow hood.Petri dishes are vacuum sealed to maintain sterility and ensure product integrity.
