PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Permatex’s Muffler & Tailpipe Putty permanently repairs holes and leaks in exhaust systems. Seals out fumes at temperatures up to 2000°F (1000°C). Safe for catalytic converters.

DIRECTIONS:

NOTE: Exhaust system must be cool before applying putty.

• Wire brush or sand to remove loose rust and dirt. Repair area must be clean.
• IMPORTANT: Knead pouches before opening.
• Apply with putty knife, pressing the putty into hole or leak.
• Let car idle for 10 minutes to speed up dry time. If possible, let car stand overnight before driving.
• DO NOT RACE MOTOR BEFORE PUTTY HARDENS COMPLETELY.
• For larger holes, reinforce repair area with wire screen before applying putty. For a lasting repair, use Permatex Muffler and Tailpipe Bandage over puttied areas.
