This pair of NOS (new old stock) genuine Ferrari park and turn lamp assemblies made by Carello in Italy to fit the Ferrari Daytona automobiles built from 1968 through 1973. I bought them from an ad in Hemming Motor News back between 1986 and 1988 when I was building industrial robots. I had plans to have one of those beauties back then and figured that these parts were the most vulnerable and difficult to repair if a vehicle was involved in a frontal collision. That is why I paid several thousand dollars for them back then.
My priorities have changed in the last 35 years or so so I decided to offer them here to the world of Ferrari Daytona owners or enthusiasts. I am in the process of buying some vehicle storage in western North Dakota so am listing several of my favorite items to make that transaction happen. If these don't sell here in the next 10 days or so, I may raise the price considerably. I don't have to sell these and really don't care much if they sell here or not. However, I will not likely ever need them for a Ferrari Daytona coupe that I will not likely ever own now that I am 70 years of age. My loss is your gain.
I listed and sold these here about a year ago for $9,995 to a Ferrari restoration shop in Wisconsin. The problem was that I could not find these here in my mess after they sold. I spent at least 2 days looking for them before I finally gave up. I eventually had to refund the payment to my customer. I later found them under some paper on a table in my office located about 4 feet from my desk. So it goes. One of my favorite sayings is "The only people that don't make mistakes are those who do nothing at all and that is the biggest mistake there is".
I can find no other original lenses offered here on eBay at this time. There are what appear to be good-looking reproduction lenses offered here by mrfiat.com for $1,095 each plus $24 for shipping. The photos of them are not great but it looks like they do not have the name Carello and all of the part numbers on them like these lenses have. They look to be good driver-quality lenses but would not look right on a $700,000 to $3,000,000 show car. Please look carefully at the last 12 photos of this listing to see all of the writing along the bottoms of these lenses. These are "The Real Deal".
I only want happy and contented customers so please ask any questions you may have before you hit the "Buy It Now" button. I can take any more photos that you might want to see. I will double-box these gems and ship them any way you want. I also have a network of friends who travel throughout the country this time of year. One of them may be able to safely and economically deliver these to you depending on where you live and how soon you want or need these assemblies.
For some reason I do not understand, the eBay shipping calculator system is not working this evening. In order to make this listing active, I had to list these items for "Local Pickup Only" which is not true. I will ship them anywhere in the world by whatever means you prefer for the cost of shipping only. I am sorry for this confusion but I am doing the best I can here.
