Based on the symmetrical and direct "ToP-ART" design concept, which preserves the purity of music signals and accurate stereo imaging, this amplifier pursues the solid musicality and unadorned beauty that only Yamaha can offer as a tool for listening to music. The A-S301 is a basic pre-main amplifier. The A-S301 features a power amplifier with a linear damping circuit that boasts a generous 60W x 2 rated output power and drivability that does not restrict the choice of speakers, six analog audio inputs including a Phono (MM) terminal for record players, and a 192kHz/24bit D/A converter that accepts optical and coaxial digital audio.
