New for 2022: This jack-of-all-trades from DB AG is now also represented as a PIKO Expert model. The modern design of the locomotive has been modeled exactly. The single-arm pantographs have been recreated extremely delicately. Sharply engraved bogies complete the visual appearance. To complement this, upgradeable brake hoses are included. A powerful, 5-pole motor ensures smooth travel. Equipped with two flywheels, the PIKO BR 101 stands out for its extremely smooth running. Two diagonally mounted traction tires provide traction when moving. The technical highlight is the built-in driver's cab and driver's desk lighting. The light changes depending on the direction of travel in red/white, of course using the latest LED technology. In digital operation, these functions can be switched separately. The sound version is delivered from the factory with a PSD XP 5.1 S SoundDecoder. As a further highlight, the BR 101 has PIKO TrainSound® onboard. It is characterized by the modified roof fan arrangement and the larger front lamps.
