The process:

Step 1: Please purchase the listing in order to receive our shipping address. (In accordance with eBay's rules, we cannot give out contact information before the purchase.)

Step 2: Send your ECU to us at the address provided with a note containing your contact information, eBay username and order number so that we can correctly process your order.
  You send us your ECU, and we cover the return shipping back to you (unless your ECU is not repairable, in which case we will refund you everything but $20 to cover the cost of return).

Step 3: After we've received your unit, we will repair your ECU and ship it back out to you within 1-2 days of arrival.

  The overhaul approach we take will depend on the year model, as these DENSO-made units for Lexus and Toyota experience entirely different types of failures according to the year range. The process is essentially always going to be a combination of repairs to the copper traces that make up the map of the board and replacement parts addressing whatever damage and/or conditions are present in the ECU. This listing is for the 1998-2007 ECUs, which will suffer from the typical decay of the metals in the aging SMDs that are used in these and need replaced. Most of the time, we see these particular ECUs for shifting problems, knock sensor issues, misfires, and no start/no communication, among many other problems. There is a wide year range covered with this model vehicle, so the failures can be quite varied from one to another. Either way, we are very successful with these and have an excellent track record.
