A beautiful item for sale here - three original members of Danny and the Juniors signatures on a 1950’s dining table mat.

Danny and the Juniors are an important group in American music history setting the precedent for many acts to follow, with iconic songs, such as 1957’s ‘At The Hop’.

The group, originally schoolmates, are revered by music historians as one of the influential American acts in 20th century music history.

The autographs here are all by three original members :

Danny Rapp

Dave White

Frank Maffei

The signatures are in biro on the underside of a dining table mat that belonged to the popular Howard Johnson’s chain of restaurants. The last of the chain of this name closed in March 2022.

The item has recently been sold at auction as part of an autograph job lot.
