The best cowhide leather!  And the leather smells AMAZING!  These shoes are handmade and hand stitched.  The leather is a stiff leather and thats why you can notice the bend at the toes on the shoes.  they just haven't been worn enough to even break them in.

They are re-soleable and I believe SAS still does that for their customers but I'm not 100% on that.

If you are familiar with SAS shoes, they are very expensive and very well made.

These are a discontinued style that they no longer make.  The closest shoe to it that they make now is $250.00 and not all of their shoes are USA made anymore.  

I worked at one of their stores for 16 years and back then, they were ALL USA made.  Times have changed but the Kiltie was one of their best dress shoes for men.  There were customers that had them resoled 2 and 3 times and the upper still looked great!
