Recovering from a fall isn't always as easy as we would hope. The ELK Lifting Cushion safely lifts a patient from the floor into a seated position, allowing them to comfortably get back to their feet or be transferred into a chair. A caretaker is required to maintain the patient's stability from the rear of the cushion throughout the entire transfer. Unlike a traditional patient lift, this emergency lifting cushion does not require a patient sling or other equipment. If a patient is sitting or lying on the floor, they can shuffle onto the deflated ELK cushion or have a caretaker arrange the cushion underneath them. Once the deflated cushion is safely in place and the caretaker is positioned behind the patient, the cushion may be inflated by pressing the easy-to-use buttons on the hand remote.
