The film works in an innovative way when placed directly on magnets, or something that contains a magnet such as a mobile phone.

MTX-H-FILM is a Magnetically Tunable Photonic Crystal Material. The strength of the magnetic field is measured in Gauss. Depending on the Gauss reading, the film will change colour accordingly. When placed on a complicated magnetic array, the film might change into up to 6 different colours simultaneously.

MTX-H-Film has the advantage that as soon as it is taken away from the magnetic field it will immediately revert back to it's original colour. 

This listing is for 11 different sizes of MTX-H-Film, which are NOT housed in a black thick paper frame. This means that the film of thickness 150~200 (μm) which is very flexible, is able to be wrapped around any curved or irregularly shaped object to test for the magnetic field.
