This is a 1902 Pattern US Army Major's Dress Frock from the Quartermaster Corps in near excellent overall condition.
Tailored in 1910 in San Francisco. it has Pasqual button back marks as would be expected.
All buttons are present and original to the uniform although one is loose.
The uniform material is undamaged.
No holes, worn areas, insect bites, or tears.
The only issues are relatively minor.
Sleeve cuff ends appear to have been let down a bit...most likely after the original period of use.
The shoulder knot attachment devices usually found at the neck have been removed and the shoulder knots appear to have been sewn on rather than detachably mounted.
The interior lining is all present and not severely worn but for one sleeve lining needing to be attached at the top...easily done.
While this uniform does have the defects noted, they are not significant, can be easily remedied, and the exemplary condition of the body material serves to offset them.
