This is an old college Sorority Paddle.  It is approximately 24 inches long from end to end (6 inch handle and 18 inch blade), 4 inches at its widest, and 3/4 inch thick.  It is actually fairly light, weighing just over 1 pound and 1 ounce, easily wielded with one hand.  There is no date on it, but it looks and feels like it is most likely from the 70s or 80s.  It is obviously hand crafted, very roughly and amateurly done, as you can see in the pictures, and it shows some wear from age and most likely normal usage.  The only markings on it are the sorority name, Sigma Psi.
