It allows RS 3-pin Arri Alexa and Amira cables to work with the Alexa Mini.

The adapter supplies a standard inline 3-pin jack that outputs battery voltage and allows remote run/stop from external devices.

 

Note: the Alexa-Mini's EXT connector does not provide a regulated output. Output voltage will be the same as the power going into the camera.
