These instructions are suitable for ALL X-Type 2001-2010 models(NOT S-TYPE)
All remote fobs available must be present when the car is in programming mode
1. Put key into ignition
2. Turn to position I
3. Turn key between position I and II four times
4. On the fourth turn back to position I you will hear a chime to indicate the car is in programming mode
5. Remove key from ignition(most important)
6. Press any button on each available key fob within ten seconds of entering programming mode. The sounder will chime with each press of a new fob.
7. Switch the ignition on/off (JOB DONE)
These instructions are suitable for All other models (NOT S-TYPE)
1. Open driver's door.
2. Hold the high beam selector arm toward you.
3. Insert ignition key and turn to first position (Accessory).
4. Release high beam selector arm and then pull and release arm 4 times. After the 4th time you will hear a chime indicating that the system is in programming mode.
5. Press the lock button on each remote to program it.
6. Test each remote.
