An original, copperplate engraved, antique map of SUFFOLK by Robert Morden. The map was first published in Camden's Britannia in 1695 and reprinted in 1722, c1730, 1753 and 1771. The map is framed (470x400mm) and uncoloured as published. The printed area is 420x360mm. The map features an ornamental title cartouche and three mileage scales. It shows towns, villages, woodlands, hills, rivers, parks and hundreds, and rivers and is the first map of Suffolk to include roads and latitude and longitude. The map, which is in very good condition, will be sold out-of-frame to international buyers.
