Cast iron is ideal for preparing food on an open fire or on the grill as it distributes the heat optimally. The round design of the potato roaster also enhances the effect. Perfectly baked potatoes, baked sweet potato wedges or hearty vegetable variations such as stuffed peppers or eggplants absorb the typical roasted aroma when cooked in the embers. With a total volume of 1.8 l, the potato roaster offers you space for around three fist-sized potatoes.

Safe on the fire with a strong lifting effect - the tilt lock of the Petromax potato roaster

The cast iron potato roaster stands out with its clever mechanism: the specially designed tilting latch closes both halves of the dish tightly together as soon as you lift it with a lid lifter. This means you can safely remove or move your hot iron from the fire. If you hook your lid lifter onto the lower end of the tilting latch, you can easily open the roasting pan lid and serve the steaming potatoes.

Edges good, everything good

The edge running along the lid gives you full temperature control. This is where you can place embers or briquettes and precisely determine the top heat when cooking. The cast iron potato roaster always stands firmly on the surface because the bar on the underside creates a straight surface. This means that the roaster stands securely in the fireplace and can also be easily used in the oven at home. At the same time, the extended bar runs under the hinges and thus ensures tip-proof opening.
