When Sphinx by Oriental Weavers produced a line of Warhol rugs, they appear to have created some for salespeople to exhibit what the art creations actually looked like, as samples. This finished, bound mini-rug is one such specimen, featuring the famous portrait of Warhol looking youthful and wig-free. The colors are a pale cream or light tan on black. Label on verso enumerates the four lines of Warhol rugs that were made: Factory, Pop Abstracts, Simply Andy, and Signature. Very good condition, with the only 'flaw' being a splotch of green ink on the verso's label. It does not penetrate the rug. This unusual work of art can be framed or shadowboxed, or incorporated into a Barbie doll's swell digs, especially if the doll living there is the Warhol Barbie.
