Another great item that was originally released by Black Hat Magic in the 1980's, and then was re-released by Forum Novelties in the late 1990s or early 2000s. Forum used the same factories and manufacturing specs, so the quality was exactly the same as the original Black Hat items. (There have since been many far-inferior remakes of this effect... but this Forum version is excellent)

Using a clever scientific principle, or cleverly using a mundane scientific principle, the two Slide Vision discs can be seen clearly to be "blank", one being opaque black and one having a see-through plastic window. The window disc is put on top of the solid disc, and it is obvious that the solid disc is still just plain black. But slowly, with no cover at all, a small playing card fades into view, appearing through the plastic window disc. It should match a selected card to give the effect more relevance to your spectators :-)

Just as it appeared, it can fade away, or you can separate the discs as shown in the picture and show the small duplicate of the selected card in all its glory. Discs can be examined casually by audience, if you are attentive to a little audience management.
