Lesson 2: "Why are you here?"
After celebrating the Passover with His disciples and sharing the Last Supper together, Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray. When Judas came to betray Him, Jesus asked him this question. The key word is ACCEPT, as kids will learn that it is best to trust God and accept His plan for their lives.
Lesson 3: What should I do with Jesus?
During Jesus' trial, Pilate asked the crowd this key question, to which they responded, "Crucify Him!" Jesus was falsely accused and mistreated but instead of arguing or fighting, Jesus remained SILENT. Students will learn that God will help them to make good choices during difficult times, if they will depend on Him.
Lesson 4: "Why have You abandoned Me?"
Jesus asked God this question as He was dying on the cross for our sins. In this lesson, kids will hear the message of salvation, that Jesus loved us so much that He suffered and died on the cross to take our penalty for sin. The key word in this lesson is BELIEVE.
Lesson 5: "Who Can I Tell?"
The story of Easter is personalized to each student as they reflect on this question, knowing the importance of Jesus' Resurrection. They will hear about Mary visiting the tomb, finding it empty and meeting the risen Lord, before she went to TELL others the good news about Jesus being alive!
