Poster Specific Info: Alcohol was used as a deviceto control the Soviet population – and by the 1980s deaths related to alcoholwere at an all time high.  Duringperestroika and glasnost, the propaganda apparatus was very concerned with discouragingvarious vices once used to keep its populace submissive to the collective.
