The base is a hair over 8 1/2 inches wide. About 9 inches tall including the base.

The GONG has a great, musical tone.

It was probably made for a bar or table top to call for refills.

I think it may be from 1967 based on the code at the bottom of the striking plate.

A great item for a man cave or collection. Hard to find!!
