>Offered here is an old & original 1947 MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL RECORDS baseball poster, featuring hitting records and pitching records spanning the years 1901-1946!! Please see all nine photos, as they are an important part of my description. This vintage baseball poster was originally shipped through the mail "as is", as evidenced by the 3-cent stamp (as well as the return address and "addressee") on the back - see 2nd photo. This vintage sports poster was shipped from the Adco Office Supply & Sports Book Co. (Hollywood 27, Calif.), and was compiled by James H. McDonald (says this in the fine print). <>This poster will also be accompanied by the original Adco Sports Book "note" from Goodwin Goldfaden (see photo #3) that was found with the poster; Goldfaden was the proprietor of the business and was well known back in the day for collecting and selling this type of merchandise. The poster measures a large 27 1/2" x 22" when fully opened; see 3rd pic. Very detailed listings include all the Major League Baseball teams spanning the years 1901-46, and includes a literal "Who's Who" of famous and legendary ballplayers and teams: Wee Willie Keeler, Honus Wagner, Ty Cobb, Rogers Hornsby, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Al Simmons, Jimmie Foxx, Ted Williams, Stan Musial, Christy Mathewson, Jack Chesbro, Carl Hubbell and simply too many to list here! It even lists Babe Ruth in both the hitting and pitching lists! Teams include: Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, New York Giants and many more. Outstanding and oddball baseball collectible over seventy years old!!

<>Condition: in very *Fine Shape* overall, exhibiting only minimal age/handling faults...nice!!! Since this poster was originally mailed out "as is", it was stapled shut so the poster would not open during transit. There are hard-to-see and unobtrusive staple holes present, to prevent the poster from opening up while in transit way back in 1947. There are a few scattered age spots present. There are no edge tears! It's also amazing that after traveling through the mail system in this manner that it wasn't damaged and survived fully intact with no major flaws to mention!
