The use of a Chlorine Dioxide Test Strip can provide fast and reliable monitoring of chlorine dioxide levels, including residuals. The Low Level Chlorine Dioxide Test Strips detect levels from 0-10ppm in increments of 0, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 3, 5, and 10 ppm. Chlorine dioxide has a higher oxidation capacity than chlorine or ozone, which means lower concentrations of chlorine dioxide can be used to achieve effective disinfection. It can also be used when large amounts of organic matter are present.

0 to 10 ppm range ideal for low level chlorine dioxide and residual testing
Desiccant vial with flip-top lid preserves freshness of strips
Instructions
1. Dip test strip into test solution and slowly wave back and forth for 5 seconds.
2. Wait 15 seconds and then compare the test pad with color scale.
*Note: Solutions with a concentration greater than 20 ppm will show as a mottled brown color on test pad.
Chlorine dioxide is a highly reactive, yellow to reddish-yellow gas that is generated on-site due to its hazardous and unstable nature. It is soluble in water and reacts rapidly to form chlorite ions, enabling it to effectively kill bacteria and other microorganisms. Chlorine dioxide is widely used as a disinfectant and bleaching agent, particularly in drinking water treatment, pulp and paper manufacturing, and various industrial processes. It is also registered for use as a bactericide, fungicide, and algaecide in applications ranging from municipal water systems and food processing facilities to agricultural and household sanitation. “Chlorine Dioxide” is not the same as “Chlorine” and test strips used to test either are not interchangeable.
