An original antique map road map of the route from OAKHAM to BARNSLEY by John Ogilby. Published in Ogilby's Britannia c1675 (plate 48). The map is unframed and mounted with later hand colour. The printed area measures approximately 435x330mm. The map has an ornate, scrolled title cartouche and the routes pass through MELTON MOWBRAY, NOTTINGHAM, MANSFIELD and ROTHERHAM and crosses the rivers Trent and Don. The map's condition is very good. It is  printed on thick paper there are good margins.
