This filter is made in the UK from top quality optical resin CR39. it is 100mm x 100mm and fits most 100 system holders such as Lee, HiTech and Cromatek 100.
HCC1 has one stop neutral density on the outside to
produce a slight darkening oval towards the edge of the frame without loss of detail. The amount of vignetting can be varied depending on a) the distance of the filter from the lens, b) focal length of the lens (this oval size is for "standard" lenses) and c) the aperture in use. The smaller the aperture, the more the vignette closes in on the subject.
Ideally, the vignetter should give just a hint of darkening towards the edge of the image to create a classic retro look to any portrait.
