The MegaView 2 Series 2MP Indoor/Outdoor Vandal-Resistant IR Day/Night Bullet IP Camera with 3.6 to 9mm P-Iris Lens from Arecont Vision is capable of capturing images up to 2592 x 1944 at 14 fps and 1920 x 1080 at 29 fps with MegaVideo processing technology. It offers H.264 and MJPEG dual compression support with simultaneous streaming for reduced bandwidth and storage requirements while delivering full frame rates and resolution without sacrificing image quality. With bit rate control, the CPU load is decreased at both the client (decompression) side and the server/storage side, allowing lower bandwidth and storage relative to MJPEG. Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) allows for compatibility with media players such as Apple QuickTime, VLC, and others.
The camera features integrated Day/Night capability with adaptive noise-cancellation that automatically switches from color to black/white operation to increase sensitivity at night or in unlit spaces. In addition, the 48 IR LEDs allow you to view clearly up to 82’ in complete darkness. The MegaView 2 series camera combines features remote focus, remote zoom, Day/Night, and P-iris capabilities. The camera can be installed without locally adjusting the field of view or focus. All lens operations can be remotely controlled from the head end to refine the field of view and focus of the scene for easy local installation. Short or full range focus scan functions analyze the local or full scene to determine the best focus for the chosen field of view. P-iris functionality provides better depth of field in varying lighting conditions.
The camera is housed in a vandal-resistant aluminum cylindrical enclosure with IP66-rated weatherproofing and is PoE (IEEE 802.3af) compliant. The camera is PSIA compliant and features privacy masking, extended motion detection, and flexible cropping.
