The pendant for this necklace is a pillbox, measuring: 4 x 3.7 x 3 cm. (1 1/2" x 1 3/8" x 1 1/4"), made from cruelty free, elk antler.
Deer and elk shed (or drop) their antlers every Spring,, so, this came from a still-living animal.
I hand-finished the lid, and inlaid a round, 25 mm. leopard skin jasper cabochon on the top.
The swivel lid closes tightly to keep your treasures safe.
Its inner chamber’s dimensions are approximately: 2.5 x 2.8 x 1.7 cm.(1" x 1 1/8" x 3/4").
Because the antler’s core is grainy, I lined the inside with a non-toxic, acrylic, furniture finish.
For the neckpiece, I strung fluted, onyx tubes and rounds; leopard skin jasper and bone rounds; faceted, glass beads; and brass donuts on sturdy, braided, artificial sinew.
The length is adjustable, from: 20.5 cm. (16:), up to: 94 cm. (37").
Just slip it over your head, and slide the bone, lock bead to desired length.
The necklace also comes with its own storage pouch for safekeeping.
