Akubra Hats® have been Australia's quality hats since the early 1900's'.
They are pure rabbit fur and handle the rain and snow very well.

I have been custom shaping hats for over 20 years. 

Akubra hats look great out of the box, however they can look even better with custom shaping to fit the shape of your face and personality. This hat looks great on both men and women. The last photo is the way it comes from the factory.

The Lightning Ridge from their Heritage collection has a 3" raw-edge brim and the crown comes 4 1/2" on the sides and has an opal on the hat band. It might look a little tall and boxy out of the box on some faces. Some of these shapes gives it an old west look. It adds attitude to your special hat. 

The photos are of ways I've shaped this hat in the past for customers. If you have another custom shape in mind describe it to me, or send a photo of it. 

 Because of COVID, the Akubra factory in Australia was closed down and is now opened back up on a limited basis. The demand is so great they have temporally discontinued many styles and are no longer available in the US. We have a limited inventory and for now cannot replenish. If interested, order soon before our supply is gone.

Being made in Australia the sizes are in centimeters. Please use the below chart to convert from US sizing to metric of if you measure your head.

If you are between sizes, always go with the larger size. I include felt sizing strips for under the sweatband if the hat is a little large. And all hats shrink over the years, so you don't want it too tight when new.
