  • Winter is especially brutal here in New Jersey.  Temperatures have reached sub zero temperatures and the cats aren't liking it at all.  We use 28 ++ bales of straw to line the cats houses and the surrounding area to absorb water from melting snow and heavy rain. They cost between $6.00-$8.50 per bale.
  • Duct tape is used to secure foam board insulation to the inside of their Rubbermaid or Sterlite cat houses.  It is very time consuming building a house and also costly paying for them! We need your help keeping them warm, dry and safe this Winter.
  • We have cared for colonies and rescued kitties for 15+ years.  It is common these days for people to simply let their unwanted cats outside thinking they will care for themselves.  This is not true!   House cats left outside have not developed the survival skills necessary to live outside.  Sometimes their cat develops unwanted behaviors because they weren't spayed or neutered so they let their cat out and guess what happens?  The female becomes pregnant and the male locates every fertile female in the neighborhood! Then, more kittens. Some of the cats in this colony were once someone's beloved pet who was betrayed and left outside.  These special kitties were fortunate to form this colony yet every once in awhile another new cat comes to visit, or is intentionally dumped then stays.  It is very expensive feeding and caring for so many so many cats.  
  • We spend a lot of time building shelters and homes for them with large plastic boxes, duct tape, insulation and straw.  We also purchase larger dog houses and cover them with tarps and stuff them with straw. Dog houses can house up to five cats (if they like sleeping together) yet cost more $$.  With your donations, we were able to purchase one right here on eBay!
  • During harsh New Jersey winters many of their houses are destroyed from several feet of heavy snow and fallen branches from surrounding trees.  We experience freezing rains then floods. 
  • We also experienced a lot of vandalism from a woman who has been stalking me and has been invading the colony with her friends.  She and her partner in crime have engaged in theft of some of our cats, have stolen dishes, food and damaged our supplies.  As you know when immature people are envious or jealous you they take from you without thought or care for the animals.  Either way, when a cat is stolen it hurts their family of cats and also leaves the cat feeling betrayed and helpless.
  • I know it's tough for a lot of people out there economically.  The kitties appreciate any support you can offer.  Your generosity is tax deductible.  All donations (and sales of my other items ..Check out my other items!) go for the care of cats and kittens.  We purchase cat food coupons, brewer's yeast, vitamins, and other cat supplies for them right here on eBay!  We also receive "eBay bucks" when items are purchased here so the more donations we receive here, the more we can purchase for the kitties through eBay!
