Holding a pickaxe and his trusty gold pan, a faithful mule stands to the right. Each round is inscribed with PROSPECTOR The reverse features a sextant — a navigation tool used to measure angular distances and altitudes — along with a compass, both placed atop a map on a wooden surface.
