In developing this third-generation series of Scarlett interfaces, we've made further improvements to both performance and functionality to help you get the most out of your recordings.
The audio specifications of the entire device have been upgraded to expand the dynamic range, further reduce noise and distortion, and improve the input level of the microphone preamplifier. An important enhancement is the inclusion of Focusrite's AIR functionality.
AIR allows you to individually select and fine-tune the preamp frequency response for each channel to model the acoustic properties of a traditional Transformer-based ISA mic preamp.
