Betty Grable
This is a rare Betty Grable doll that was custom made and owned by her!
Betty was a doll collector and she had this doll custom made for her collection
and is portraying Betty in a custom made Hollywood costume for her role in
the film "Wabash Avenue".
She would bring part of her doll collection with her while she was away from home.
The picture of Betty with some of her dolls, was taken in her dressing room, when she was playing
"Dolly" at the St. James Theatre, New York City in 1967.
This meticulously dressed doll once belonged to Betty Grable!
The costume for her role in "Wabash Avenue" is just beautiful
with it's handmade and very custom workmanship!
Somebody spent hours and hours putting this doll together for Betty.

This doll collection was given to her good friend Leonard Scumachi...

a professional dancer in Hollywood and Las Vegas.

Leonard would also go on to write books and was in the process of writing Betty Grable's life story

with her guidance when she took ill and died a short time after. I will be listing more items that

belonged to Betty Grable in the coming days, so keep checking back. There are very rare unpublished

photographs, Betty's personal scrapbooks, autographed pictures and handwritten letters.

This vintage doll is in veryy nice condition and is certainly "one of a kind".

This will come with a letter of authenticity detailing the aquisition of this

collection from the estate of the late Leonard Scumaci.
