For reference, a complete (pre-2004) game includes:

- 1 electronic operation table gameboard, with metal pinchers and buzzing, light-up nose
- 12 Funatomy pieces
- Adam's Apple (apple)
- Broken Heart (heart)
- Wrenched Ankle (wrench)
- Butterflies in the Stomach (butterfly)
- Spare Ribs (ribs)
- Water on the Knee (pail)
- Funny Bone (bone)
- Charlie Horse (horse)
- Writer's Cramp (pencil)
- Ankle Bone Connected to the Knee Bone (rubberband)
- Wish Bone (wishbone)
- Bread Basket (basket)
- 12 Doctor cards
- 12 Specialist cards
NOTE:Starting in 2004, a thirteenth Funatomy piece was added: Brain Freeze (ice cream cone). This also added 1 Doctor card and 1 Specialist card. Some Operation games have removeable nose bulbs. At some point, the nose became unremovable.

All cards were removed from the game.
A failed attempt on removing a piece resulted in a different sounds, not just a buzz.
