This machine has been a cherished fixture in our family since the late 1970s. Whether you are looking for a antique centerpiece for a game room or "man cave," this Buckley is a premier candidate.

Technical Specifications

• Manufacturer: Mills Novelty Co produced the internal mechanical "clock" and the original cast-iron housing

• Re-manufacturer: Buckley Manufacturing Co. (Chicago, IL)

• Era: Late 1920s Re manufactured 1940's

• Mechanism: Purely mechanical "three-reel" clockwork.

Condition & Detail

This machine was treated to a restoration circa 1980 and has been kept in a climate-controlled environment since.

• Mechanical: The machine is complete and original.The counter currently reads 829 pulls.

• Functionality: Currently requires professional cleaning and servicing to return to full mechanical working order. The internal components are intact and ready for a tune-up. 

• Cabinetry: The original Mills wooden cabinet is in excellent condition. To be "perfect" it would need some cleaning.

• Rarity: This specific "Cherries" aesthetic configuration is exceptionally rare. While other Buckley models appear on the market, this specific visual variant is difficult to locate, making it a standout for serious slot machine enthusiasts.

•  Buckley Criss Cross, it is built on a Mills chassis

• Original Manufacture (c.1926): .Mills Novelty Co produced the internal mechanical "clock" and likely the original cast-iron housing. Serial numbers in the 200,000 range fall within their mid-1920s production run.
  
  
• The Buckley "Revamp" (c. late 1940s): During or after WWII, the Buckley Manufacturing Co. bought up thousands of these older Mills machines. They "revamped" them by:
  • Repainting the cabinets (your specific blue color and red cherries).
  • Adding the Criss Cross payout system and award cards.
  • Installing the "10¢" coin entry plates to update them for post-war play
