Description:

Solar Bay insulation is an ideal way of quickly insulating any space. 

The closed cell XPE foam backing adds an element of noise and vibration reduction, which is ideal for fitting in vehicles.

This also works during summer periods by reflecting heat away from the structure, keeping internal temperatures lower than non-insulated spaces of a similar size.

Self adhesive backing on this range of insulation also ensures a strong bond between the insulation and any clean, dry surface. It also ensures that installation is quick and easy without the need for additional fixatives*

Solar Bay insulation can be fitted in camper vans, caravans, motor homes and van conversions easily, as well as providing a good solution to insulating building structures such as lofts & attics, sheds and garages. 

*There may be instances with certain black coatings on a van interiors that this insulation may not adhere as desired, this is due to the repellent coatings applied on these surfaces. We do advise, if you have a black vehicle, to apply a coating of high temperature adhesive to the van prior to applying this insulation as a precaution.

Fitting Instructions:


  • Cut strips to fit using scissors or Blade Master safety cutter (can be fitted vertically or horizontally)
  • Ensure surface being fitted with insulation is clean and dry.
  • Warm the insulation using a lamp or leave in a heated room to ensure adhesive is at its best.
  • Peel off backing sheet and apply to surfaces, pressing in to ensure best adhesion.
  • Overlap any edges and seal with an appropriate tape to form an air tight seal.
  • If boarding over add timber battens to leave a small air gap between board and insulation.

Free Delivery is a 3 - 5 day delivery service within Mainland UK only.

Express Delivery is a two day courier (within Mainland UK, additional time may be required for Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland and remote parts of the UK). Shipments on larger items to Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland and remote parts of the UK may be subject to additional shipping charges. If you are concerned about shipping costs to your area, please contact us prior to ordering.

Shipments outside of UK For larger items, we have done our best to estimate costs to your location, but as the costs of shipping are subject to frequent change this may not always be as accurate as we would like.
We would kindly request that for any orders of larger items to be sent outside the UK to contact us prior to ordering to ensure that shipping charges are correct to your location. 

Please note that we will only ship to provided addresses via eBay. If you make an error on your address, please notify us ASAP as we cannot always change addresses after sales are completed.

We always try our best to ensure that our goods are in the best possible condition and, where applicable, in full working condition when they leave us.
However we do acknowledge that once in transit the unexpected can happen.

We do ask that all our customers contact us in such circumstances within 48 hours and we will happily replace any item damaged in transit.

Terms of return

If you change your mind about an item we will happily take it back and offer a refund in the following conditions: 

  • We must be contacted within 14 days of purchase to arrange a return in these instances
  • For any returns for changes of mind we will not be liable for any postage costs
  • Items are sent back in an unopened/unused condition; We cannot accept any items back that have been fitted or used
  • No refunds will be issued outside of 14 days
  • Items attempted to be returned after 30 days will only be done so at our discretion
  1. Can I cancel my order?
    Yes, please contact us as soon as possible to arrange any order cancellations. If you contact us to cancel your order after you have received a dispatch notification then we will not be able to cancel it.

  2. How late can I order to get same day dispatch?
    Our cut-off for same day dispatch is 2pm Monday to Friday. Orders placed over the weekend and UK Bank Holidays are not collected until the next working day.

  3. I have just moved and forgot to update my address, can we change it?
    We do appreciate that mistakes are made, and if we have not dispatched your item then we will be very happy to change your address. 
    If you realise that you have made a mistake in your address, please contact us ASAP as once an item is in transit there is very little we can do.

  4. I received a card but did not respond to it in time to receive my parcel. What can I do?
    Courier services will attempt to deliver your items on 2 separate occasions and will leave you a card to notify you of delivery to a neighbour, a safe location or if they have had to return it to the hub. 
    If you do not respond to this card, the item could be returned to ourselves within 5 days (postal items may be a little longer).

      If the item is returned to us we will contact you advising how you would like to proceed. It should be noted that if you wish the item sent a second time then you will be required to pay the cost of shipping.
      Should you wish to be refunded instead, we will deduct a small restocking charge from your refund to cover the cost of the original parcel.

  5. Can I have a Saturday or a morning delivery?
    It is possible to arrange a special delivery; we will require an additional payment per item (cost is dependant on the size and weight of the items being purchased). If you wish to purchase a special delivery, please contact us (see 'Contact Us' tab) to arrange at point of checkout.
