 A highly detailed map which covers England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and the adjacent coasts of Denmark, Norway, France and the Netherlands.

Prominent coverage of the North Sea banks.

The ornate title cartouche features Neptune, sea nymphs, nets of fish and a sea monster.

A second cartouche surmounted by Neptune and flanked by chained dogs, displays a set of 5 distance scales.

 Enhanced with outline hand colouring. A striking and handsome map for display. 

 Very fine condition, free of repairs or restoration. Central fold line as issued.

Approx. 24" x 18.5" (610mm x 470mm) map area only, with good margins beyond.

 Printed on hand laid paper which remains stable and robust, blank verso.
